We have offices in London, Kent, Worthing, Glasgow, Hull and Telford, and this role could be based our of any of our locations.

Things you should know:

This is a new role within the business and a fantastic opportunity for the right candidate to make the role their own. Azure is a key part of Cabot’s environment and growing rapidly, and you would be able to use their experience to influence the direction this takes.

We are looking for an experienced Azure Architect with a remit to design end to end solutions and assist in migrating existing on-premise solutions into the cloud. They will also review existing Azure implementations and carry out redesign work where necessary.
You will play a pivotal role in agreed Architecture standards, ensuring compliance with higher level architectures.

The role is also responsible for troubleshooting and improving Azure and the related infrastructure, and this will require knowledge of a range of Infrastructure related technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Defining and designing the most appropriate technical solutions for required integrations
  • Ensure consistency of design across integrations within the organization
  • Migrating Applications and IT infrastructure to the MS Azure / Cloud services
  • Providing governance to the cloud environments by ensuring that the processes and guidelines are followed
  • Support the design and implementation of cloud infrastructure as part of the lifecycle of projects
  • Architect and design solutions to meet operational and security requirements
  • Experienced in working in agile/devops environment with continuous integration , continuous deployment and application lifecycle management
  • Experience with cloud data ingestion technologies such as Azure Data Factory

Things we need from you:

  • Proven experience architecting and designing solutions built on Microsoft Azure
  • Proven experience architecting and designing cloud native solutions
  • Exposure to DevOps tools (Azure DevOps)
  • Knowledge of automation tools and the concepts of Automation, for example JAMs and Azure Automation
  • Server platforms knowledge including VMWare virtualisation technologies
  • Familiarity of development tools including SQL SSIS and Visual studio (VSTS)
  • Possess a relevant Azure Architect certification
  • The ability to work across busy Development and Operations teams
  • Experience working collaboratively with 3rd party partners
