Things you should know:

The purpose of this role is to own Cabot Group IT Strategy & enterprise level plans to ensure IT investments are aligned to Cabot Business Strategy and IT Strategy delivering optimum ROI across the group. To deliver architectural assessments in support of strategic initiatives and to own enterprise level IT standards

Key Responsibilities:

• Own Cabot Group IT Strategy aligning it with Business Strategy and Encore IT strategy on an annual basis
• Provide Enterprise architectural oversight to for significant projects, ensuring they are aligned to IT strategy.
• To champion the use of IT Shared Services, identifying opportunities to leverage the organisational scale to maximum benefit and promoting these effectively to achieve positive outcomes.
• Chair the Group Technical Design Authority leading a team of application and infrastructure architects across the group
• Assist planning processes to align InfoSec and DR, BCP standards across the group tailored appropriately balancing Group and Local risk appetite
• Define enterprise IT standards and architectural roadmaps working in collaboration with Business Units
• Develop and maintain the high level to-be “end state architecture” vision for all aspects of Cabot’s IT Landscape covering Information, Applications and Infrastructure
• Lead all IT due diligence, supporting M&A, integration activity and providing technical oversight for newly acquired businesses
• Provide leadership cover, supporting IT management escalation for critical issues both in and out of hours

• Able to work at pace whilst maintaining very high standard
• Able to operate effectively in a matrix management structure and is comfortable being accountable for services they may not directly own
