Leadership

Mr. Masih was appointed as a Non-Executive Director of Cabot Credit Management in 2017. He has been the President and CEO of Encore Capital Group since June 2017.

Previously, as President of Midland, Mr. Masih managed internal call centres, decision science, legal collections, marketing, and all other domestic operations. He also oversaw Encore’s Asset Reconstruction Company, which is buying debt portfolios in India. Prior to this at Encore, he served in three roles: Executive Vice President, U. S. Debt Purchasing Operations, Senior Vice President of legal collections operations, and Senior Vice President of corporate development. Before Encore, Mr. Masih was Vice President at Capital One Financial Corp, holding senior roles in collections and recoveries among other roles. Prior to joining Capital One, Mr. Masih was an Associate Principal at McKinsey & Company and a Manager at KPMG Consulting.

Mr. Masih earned an MBA from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, a Master of Science in Manufacturing Systems Engineering from Lehigh University and a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, New Delhi, India.

John Yung joined Encore Capital Group in July 2015 and currently serves as President, International and Cabot Credit Management. In this role, Mr. Yung oversees all of Encore’s European businesses, our investments in Latin America, and the Encore Asset Reconstruction Company (EARC) in India.

Prior to assuming his current role in May 2023, Mr. Yung served as Senior Vice President, Chief Global Strategist and Growth Officer, where he was responsible for overseeing and guiding the strategic direction of the company and the global development of new products and markets across Encore. He has also previously served as the Chief Executive Officer of Baycorp, a former Encore Capital Group Company, leading a turnaround of the Australian and New Zealand businesses.

Before joining Encore, Mr. Yung was a co-founder of ZenBanx Holding Ltd., an international fintech company which was acquired by SoFi Technologies, Inc. Prior to that, Mr. Yung held several positions at ING Direct USA, including Head of Consumer Lending and Head of Customer Research and Analytics. Mr. Yung also served in executive positions with Bank of America and MBNA.

Mr. Yung earned a Bachelor of Arts in Economics, with Honors, from the University of California Davis, and a Master of Business Administration in Finance and Marketing from Duke University.

Paul has 35 years’ experience in the financial industry, where he specialises in credit risk, financial crime and International Operational management. He started his career at Barclays aged 17, and his previous roles include Risk Director for Barclays Bank and Group Risk Director at Santander.

Paul joined Wescot in 2007 as Chief Operating Officer, before being named Chief Executive Officer in 2011. Cabot Credit Management acquired Wescot in 2017 and this led to Paul taking on leadership responsibility for all of Cabot’s UK entities in January 2021. His current role of Managing Director for Cabot UK sees him lead the teams that run Cabot Financial, DLC, Mortimer Clarke Solicitors, Orbit and Wescot.

Whilst at Barclays Paul participated in and successfully completed professional Banking qualifications which were complimented by experiential learning in the workplace. As a consequence, he is passionate about vocational learning being available to enable all colleagues to realise their full potential. The current award-winning apprenticeship programmes underpinning our colleague development opportunities is a cornerstone of our approach to this at Cabot.

Sean was a founder investor in Cabot Financial Ireland, serving as Managing Director from 2007. His remit was extended in 2016 to include Cabot’s Spanish business and in 2023 he was appointed Managing Director for Cabot Europe (France, Ireland, Spain, Portugal and Italy)

Sean has over 20 years’ experience in financial services. He was previously CEO of GE Money’s Irish business and Chief Operating Officer of GE’s UK home loans business. He also held senior management positions in Woodchester Finance and Nissan Ireland.

Before embarking on his business career, Sean held the rank of Captain in the Irish Defence Forces and served overseas on United Nations missions in Lebanon. Sean holds an MBA and Bachelor of Commerce degree from National University of Ireland Galway and a first-class honours Masters in Business Studies from University College Dublin.

Andrew has more than 25 years’ financial services experience having worked in investment banking at DKB International and banking and acquisition finance at Clifford Chance LLP. In 2018 he completed a 16 year career at GE Capital where he worked in a variety of increasingly senior roles across the consumer finance division including 4 years leading the legal team responsible for mergers, acquisitions and dispositions for GE Money across Europe, the Middle East and Africa. From 2009 he held various regional general counsel roles culminating in his appointment as Global General Counsel for GE Capital.

In January 2019 he joined Cabot Credit Management as Chief Administration Officer. During his time at Cabot he has had responsibility for the Legal, Compliance and Risk functions and in 2020 took on responsibility for Cabot’s strategic planning process. In May 2022 he was appointed to his current position as Chief Strategy & Transformation Officer.

Andrew grew up in South Africa where he completed a BCom LLB at the University of Cape Town. He is an attorney of the High Court of South Africa and following his move to London in 1998 he qualified as a solicitor of the Supreme Court of England and Wales.

Deepak Maheshwari joined Cabot Credit Management as Chief Analytics Officer in April 2025. In his role, he leads Pricing, Decision Science and Center of Excellence for analytics within Cabot. He ensures coordination across Cabot’s reporting and analytics activities and helps drive consistency with other best practices currently employed across Cabot’s parent organisation, Encore Capital Group. He also supports ongoing UK and EU business performance improvements, working closely with our operations teams in each of Cabot’s respective businesses. 

Deepak has over 25 years of experience in financial services. Previously, he served as the Managing Vice President of Strategy and Analysis for Midland Credit Management, which serves as Encore Capital Group’s North American operations. In this capacity, Deepak served as a critical business leader for the U.S. debt purchasing business. Notable achievements during his time with MCM include building a robust Investment Risk Management function, growing the Debt Settlement (DSC) channel, and developing a strong, skilled and engaged analytics function across the U.S., India and Costa Rica. 

Prior to joining Encore, Deepak held several positions at American Express across India, Australia and United States. Before that he was a Manager at ICICI Bank, India.

Deepak earned his MBA from the Indian Institute of Management, Lucknow, India and a Bachelor's degree in Technology from the Indian Institute of Technology, New Delhi, India.

Darren Price serves as our Chief Information Officer having joined Cabot in September 2023.

Darren is responsible for developing and implementing our organisation's IT strategy, aligning it with our overall business objectives and ensuring close collaboration to realise the collective benefits we gain from being part of Encore Capital Group.   Darren will also identifying emerging technologies and determining how they can be used to innovate and improve business operations.

Darren has a broad range of experience of the manufacturing and financial services sector and a passion for building, coaching and developing high performing teams.  A customer centred environment and engaged colleagues are critical priorities in everything that Darren leads.
Darren was voted Computing 2017 CIO of the Year for delivering Technology and Digital Transformation and included within the Global Top 100 CIO's in the same year.

Julien Boisivon has served as the Country Manager of Cabot Financial France since 2016. He brings circa 20 years of invaluable local expertise to our strategy and actions in France and Europe and is responsible for the running and performance of our French business. Julien was the Founder, CEO & Managing Director of Nemo Credit Management. This was the business which Cabot Credit Management acquired as part of our entry into the French Market.

Prior to that, he held various senior roles in large firms, such as APRR (Eiffage) as Head of Business Development and Veolia Environnement as Business Development Manager.  He holds an MSc in Aeronautical and Space Science from SupAero and an MBA from Instead.

Julien became part of the Cabot Executive Leadership in 2025 as part of ensuring our core market experts were even closer to our strategic thinking.

Juan Diego has served as Country Manager for Cabot Financial Spain since 2021 seeking to capture growth opportunities in our Spanish & Portuguese businesses whilst owning our overall performance in Iberia.

He has worked in both the banking and credit management side of our industry, gaining extensive experience across the entire credit lifecycle over 20 plus years of experience.  From credit initiation to collections, recoveries, debt selling and purchasing, these experiences have allowed him to build understanding and empathy with all the parties involved through the entire process.  A common thread across his roles has been the importance of the consumer, which is something his leadership brings to our Iberian businesses today.
